Physical Therapist, Certified Vestibular Therapist (UTM)
A keen participant in athletic pastimes such as rock climbing, CrossFit, soccer, rugby, Olympic weightlifting and snowboarding, I have a special interest in sport-related injuries, particularly tendonopathies, which, though common in active people, are often poorly understood. I enjoy working with patients with vestibular disorders such as dizziness, vertigo and concussions, as well as with those with post-concussion syndrome.
My approach is patient-centred and evidence-based. I often use a combination of manual therapy focused on joint mobilization, manipulation, tissue release, acupuncture, dry needling and exercise to help clients of all ages feel and move better.
With an MSc In Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto (2010), I also hold a BSc in Kinesiology from McMaster University (2008). I have worked full-time as a physiotherapist since graduating and continue to study to add to my skill set. I earned my FCAMPT designation upon completion of an Advanced Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Therapy. As well, I have taken courses in post-concussion management and completed Vestibular Rehabilitation: A Competency Based Course at Emory University in 2015. In 2017, I achieved Integrated Dry Needling certification and have done various courses in acupuncture.
