As a chiropodist, I assess the biomechanics of the lower limb and analyze gait patterns to see how the mechanics of the feet impact the whole body; I also treat general ailments. Either way, my aim is always to formulate therapeutic strategies that will offer the client long-term relief from dysfunction and pain.
Born and raised in Toronto, I spent a large part of my life in Medellin, Colombia. With a BSc in Nursing from Ryerson University, I worked for four years as a Registered Nurse before furthering my education in health sciences by completing an Advanced Diploma in Chiropody at the Michener Institute for Health Sciences. In addition to the work I do at The Sports Clinic, I am also a Registered Pædiatric Nurse at Guelph General Hospital. As a chiropodist, I have an enormous interest in biomechanics and pediatric care.
